Not a lot is needed to find out what kind of passion is hidden deep down this youngster of Turkish and Surinamese decent. At only the age of 6 his musical journey was kicked off when he started to play the keyboard. Add to that mastering his very first DAW, Reason 1.0, at only the age of 12 and doing his first DJ performance at the age of 13 and it seems clear that this path was predestined for this kid all along.
At 17 years old this musical talent went by the name of Rocwell S and was playing DJ gigs regularly locally and throughout Holland. It was only after hearing Fedde Le Grand’s hit record ‘PYHUFD’ he immediately got stung by the virus called House music and was determined to start producing this kind of music. His career went fast when his track Master At Work was being picked up and played in about every club in Holland and major events and festivals internationally like Dirty Dutch and by deejays like David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Congorock and more. This showed that music has absolutely no boundaries, even more so since this was a song that was never released, only posted on a forum once for some feedback.
His productions further took off and Rocwell S’ remixes also became very popular, the remix he did to ‘I’m So Fly’ by Alvita, got supported by DJ Bl3nd and reached over 3,5 million views on YouTube, the remix he did for Sean Kingston also got close to half a million views.
His unique musical style got him to do some remix work for major labels like Spinnin’ Records, and Sidney Samson’s Samsobeats and for established artists like Akon and Mitch Crown. The music also appealed very much to the producer of P. Diddy, who supported his music in his official mixtapes. Rocwell S joined the production team and started working on some great projects which led to an official music video and official remixes and productions for even bigger major artists like Pitbull, Lil Jon and LMFAO.
Now Rocwell S is focusing on his own sound and solo productions and always wanting to stay unique, whether in the studio or in the booth… And in the booth he isn’t unknown to playing big clubs and festivals in Holland like The Sand in Amsterdam which holds over 4000 people, Beachclub Vroeger in Bloemendaal which holds well over 5000 people and the Your Music Festival in Rotterdam with a capacity of over 12.000 people. He also headlines international events in countries like Surinam, Germany and Turkey.
A bright future ahead and this is only where the journey begins.
